Located at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, and overlooking the northern part of the valley of the Pardu river, in front of it has Perta Liana, with the Gennargentu in the background. The visual contact is both with the archaeological area of Is Tostoinos, a few kilometers away, and with Serbissi, located on the ridge of Tacco di Osini, opposite the canyon of Taquisara. The nuraghe is composed of a circular tower with a residual height of over one meter, a village of about 11 huts, the storeroom known as "Su scusorgiu". A few hundred meters before Perdu Isu, along the path, are visible the remains of Scala Acutza, a burial or perhaps a well perched on a rocky spike. The name of the area is taken from the overhang on the hill, probably with function of sacrificial point. Perdu Isu is in fact the cliff with its overhanging walls, which overlook the valley of the Pardu river. The numerous finds of human remains, carried out downstream of the overhang, as well as some ceremonial finds, suggest that the primordial rite called "su babaiecca" was carried out in this place. Mysterious, between magic and religion, it is believed that he saw the old pushed into the precipice by his children, because they were considered unproductive and cumbersome for society. Along the "Path of the Eagles", which connects this place to Taquisara Cave and Is Tostoinos, you will also find a gorge rich in exceptional secular rates and also known as "Sa Tumba", just for the frequent finds of human bones dating back to past times. The area is now known as Valle dei Tassi.
